The characters

  • WolfEvery night you take someone. By day, act like your life depends on it
  • SeerEvery night you learn one person's card. Saying it too early signs your death warrant
  • WitchTwo flasks, one use each: one saves tonight's victim, the other kills
  • HunterWhen you go down you take someone with you. Choose fast and choose well
  • CupidOn the first night you tie two people together. If one dies, the other dies of grief
  • Little girlYou can peek at the wolves through half-closed eyes. Get caught and you're dinner
  • VillagerNo powers: just your head, your voice and your vote

Frequently asked questions

How many players do you need for Werewolf?
From 5 to 16. Fewer and it falls flat, more and it drags, though nobody is going to stop you trying.
Do I have to download anything?
No. Werewolf opens in your phone's browser and runs right there: nothing to install, nothing to sign up for.
Is Werewolf free?
Completely. Every card, every level and all six languages, with no account and no paid tier.
Do we need the board game cards?
No. The phone deals the roles and feeds the narrator the exact line for each moment, including only the roles still alive.
Which characters are in it?
Wolves, seer, witch, hunter, cupid and the little girl, plus the mayor elected by day. They come in on their own as the table grows.
