Frequently asked questions
- How many players do you need for The Impostor?
- From 3 to 12. Fewer and it falls flat, more and it drags, though nobody is going to stop you trying.
- Do I have to download anything?
- No. The Impostor opens in your phone's browser and runs right there: nothing to install, nothing to sign up for.
- Is The Impostor free?
- Completely. Every card, every level and all six languages, with no account and no paid tier.
- How many impostors should we use?
- One up to seven players, two from eight. Any more and the innocents stop being the majority, so the vote decides nothing.
- Do we need pen and paper?
- No. The phone deals and then goes down on the table: the rest is talking, lying and watching faces.
