Frequently asked questions

How many players do you need for Icebreaker?
From 2 to 20. Fewer and it falls flat, more and it drags, though nobody is going to stop you trying.
Do I have to download anything?
No. Icebreaker opens in your phone's browser and runs right there: nothing to install, nothing to sign up for.
Is Icebreaker free?
Completely. Every card, every level and all six languages, with no account and no paid tier.
What is the difference between the two options?
"For everyone" gives you 800 questions about tastes, family, fears, money, bodies and secrets: you can play them in front of anyone. "18+" adds 200 about sex, desire, hookups, drinking and intimacy, and then it matters who is at the table.
Does it work with people who have just met?
Yes, and that is where it works best: the questions are specific and everybody has an answer. What brings people closer is not the question itself, it is that everyone answers in turn.
